FIRE BRIGADES

Mission: The Foundation for the Conservation of the Chiquitano Forest is an NGO with a Mission to Promote harmonious coexistence between society and the nature of the Chiquitano Forest. As a result of the fires, its programs aim to train three community fire brigades and first response volunteers (261 families) about fire prevention in the Chiquitano communities. Each training will be carried out by a group of firefighters specialized in forest fires. Each program is co-financed by our foundation, in addition to the communities.

WATER STORAGE

Mission: 311 families will benefit from the expansion or improvement of their water reservoirs- ensuring the provision and access to water in communities affected by drought and forest fires- for human subsistence and consumption of animals. Water storage sites will be available for the consumption of the communities as well as for the access of tank trucks in case of forest fires.
